Tasting with Nicola Biscardo May 3rd 2-4pm

Join us on May 3rd from 2-4pm with Nicola Biscardo to sample a few of the Italian wines that Nicola has brought over to the US and he represents.  Nicola Biscardo had been growing grapes and making excellent wines for years. As a 3rd generation winemaker Nicola had learned quite a bit about viticulture over the years and he has worked hard to continually produce high quality wines. His aim has always been to eliminate substandard grapes from his pressings and make wine from only the top percent of each harvest’s yield. As a result, his wines are always stunning and clearly expressive of the distinct terroir and micro-climate of the particular vineyards from which he harvests.

Nicola's story is below:

I was born in Verona on January 12th, 1972 in a family of wine makers. Raised in the land of Amarone I took my first wine class at the age of nineteen while I was studying Political Science at the college.

It did not take me long to realize that my way was to continue in the family business of selling wine, so I switched to wine studies and I attended the master at the Italian Association of the Guild of Sommeliers. Now I am a professional Wine Taster, a Sommelier, a member of The Society of Wine Educators and not a politician.

I moved to United States in 1997 and I lived in New York to market and organize the distribution of Conexport, a private consortium that represent some of the best small producers from different wine regions of Italy.

Now I am back home in Verona, the city of "Romeo and Juliet" to spoil my vineyards and olive trees with my love and passion!!!

"Alla Salute…!!!"

Good Friends. Good Times. Good Wine.
