The nose shows an array of bright fruit such as granadilla, grapefruit, peaches and lemons. The wine has a smooth entry onto the palate with all the juicy fresh fruit coming through and freshened by a limey acidity which also brings length.
Vineyard Notes
A first for Remhoogte, the Weisser Riesling is produced from a 0,8 Ha vineyard on the ridge at the top of the estate. The soils are granitic and well drained.
Production Notes
The grapes are destemmed and very gently pressed. Fermentation is then allowed to proceed uninoculated in a stainless tank. The wine is then racked and bottled straight after fermentation.
